Amending the WEEE Directive: IMPEL examines the practical consequences
In 2008 the Commission adopted a Proposal to amend the WEEE Directive. IMPEL (with IEEP support) undertook a study to examine the practicability and enforceability of the proposed changes. Most IMPEL members have positive views on many changes, but a number of concerns were also raised. The aim is for the results to be considered by all of those involved in the debate on the Recast Proposal, particularly the EU legislative institutions.
