On the one-year anniversary of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (better known as ObamaCare), four health policy experts have written a must-read book that clearly explains how the new health law will affect American families, taxpayers, seniors, employers, workers, doctors and patients, and the many other Americans subject to the law’s sweeping changes. Why ObamaCare Is Wrong for America (HarperCollins) will be released in bookstores nationwide this coming Tuesday, March 22.
The book explains how the health care reform bill enables the federal government to reach into the lives of all Americans–how it will change the way medical decisions are made, and how it has neither fulfilled its promises of expanded and more affordable health insurance coverage to millions of Americans currently without it, nor improved the quality of care. The authors discuss why insurance costs are soaring, choices are being restricted, and millions of Americans will lose the coverage they were promised they could keep. In addition, Why ObamaCare Is Wrong for America demonstrates how the new law will cause a staggering increase in the national debt and our tax burdens, discourage companies from expanding and hiring more workers, and cripple future innovation and research.
All the authors–Thomas (Tom) Miller of the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), Grace-Marie Turner of the Galen Institute, James C. Capretta of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, and Bob Moffit of the Heritage Foundation–are media savvy and have considerable experience with radio and television.
