摘要 |
A team of researchers from the Center for International Earth Science Information Network at Columbia University (CIESIN), the City University of New York / Baruch Campus (CUNY), and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) work together to develop a retrospective analysis of climate change and variability impacts on population distribution, as well as projections of future climate-influenced population distribution and migration, contributing to the World Bank flagship report Climate Change, Migration and Securing Resilience: An Evidence-Based Approach for Action, which will be published in late 2017.
The contribution of PIK includes the selection and preparation of climate impacts indicators based on the Inter-Sectoral Impact Model Intercomparison Project (ISIMIP) impacts data for the historical calibration and validation of the population model as well as for future population projections based on scenario specific projections of climate/sectoral indicators. PIK also contributes to the analysis and interpretation of the population modeling results and the report writing.
