The MILESECURE 2050 Energy Day in Brussels will present major findings from the research project thus far. Members of the consortium, Giancarlo Cotella (POLITO) and Gabriele Quinti (LSC), will present position papers on energy security trends in Europe and sociological drivers in energy transitions. Ecologic Institute contributed key research to these reports. The presentations will launch a discussion among policy makers, researchers, and other experts to consider new energy perspectives in policy making and long-term planning. The MILESECURE 2050 project explores and evaluates the multidimensional process leading to European low-carbon energy security, with a goal of developing governance approaches for low-carbon energy security. The Ecologic Institute is leading the work on identifying the critical factors in energy transition processes and their societal impacts. The event is free and open to the public.
