On 15 September 2015, the POLIMP project consortium will host its final expert workshop at Ecologic Institute in Berlin (Germany). The one day workshop will focus on low-carbon technology support policies in the EU, with special attention given to financing, public acceptance and emissions trading. Each of these will feature introductory input from the project, contrasted with an external policy expert perspective (from research, government and business) to start conversation among participants. The presentations and discussion will be augmented by the perspectives of up to 40 external experts working in research, government and business. This event serves as the the final installment of the POLIMP Stakeholder Workshop series, which is aimed at engaging stakeholders and policymakers on matters related to climate and energy policy research. The approach gives stakeholders a platform by which to provide feedback on knowledge gaps and help to develop evidence-based policy recommendations. Previous workshops have been held in Brussels and London, the details of which can be found on the POLIMP project website. The POLIMP project is a three-year long project funded by the European Commission's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). The project consortium is comprised of seven well-respected research institutions located accross Europe. |
