Presented by Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP), this webinar explores specific approaches and techniques that are currently being used and developed to measure and assess the socioeconomic value of Earth science data.

The panel of presenters provide expertise from the fields of informatics, economics, and social sciences. Their presentations review terms, concepts, and methods for assessing the societal impact of Earth observations and application, show how citations of data products and services can be used to assess value of data for research and development, and examine the role of participatory approaches to assess people’s perceptions on Earth science information.
