Drawing from his new book, Between Two Fires: Truth, Ambition, and Compromise in Putin’s Russia, Joshua Yaffa, the Moscow correspondent for the New Yorker, will offer an engaging perspective on the life of Russians facing agonizingly difficult moral and personal choices.

Joshua Yaffa

Joshua Yaffa is a correspondent for the New Yorker in Moscow. For his work in Russia, he has been named a fellow at New America, a recipient of the American Academy’s Berlin Prize and a grant from the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting, and a finalist for the Livingston Award.

Susan Glasser

Susan Glasser is a staff writer at the New Yorker, where she writes a weekly column on life in Trump’s Washington. Glasser has served as the top editor of several Washington publications, including Politico Magazine, Politico, and Foreign Policy. She is the co-author of Kremlin Rising: Vladimir Putin’s Russia and the End of the Revolution.
