The economic, political and social crisis in Venezuela occurs in the context of a rapid deterioration of legal institutions, the protection of individual rights and rule of law. Rampant crime and human rights abuses are some of the consequences of that. How can we describe the current situation for rule of law and human rights in Venezuela? What are the factors that have contributed to the current situation and what would it take to strengthen the rule of Law?
These are the questions of this seminar that joins Venezuelan and Norwegian scholars and human rights activists seeking to analyze the crisis in Venezuela from a legal point of view.
