GDI (German Develoment Institute) and IDDRI will be convening a half-a-day workshop on the rationale and options for closer cooperation and joint leadership of France and Germany's international development cooperation.
The objective of the workshop is to build on expertise and debates in Germany and in France regarding development priorities and avenues for action, and delineate opportunities for closer cooperation and leadership of France and Germany on international development affairs.
Over the course of the workshop, participants will take stock of key trends, drivers and issues in French and German development cooperation and related policy fields, as well as of existing interfaces of French and German development cooperation ecosystems. They will brainstorm on a possible joint policy agenda and elaborate on the role Think Tanks like GDI and IDDRI could play within it.
