25 Years of the Birds Directive: Challenges for 25 Countries
This report was produced by the European Commission in 2004 as part of the celebrations marking 25 years of the Birds Directive. The report was based on previous work carried out by IEEP reporting on the implementation of the Directive in the period 1999-2001. It provides a general overview of how the Directive has been implemented since 1979, whilst also identifying continuing and emerging challenges that need to be addressed in the coming years. A particular focus is on progress made since the last major assessment in 1993 (COM(93)572).Downloads
