Water scarcity and droughts

The main topics addressed by this study are: the economic effects of water scarcity and droughts, effects on ecosystems and public health, effects of climate change, water price policies in the Member States, integration of the issue into other policy areas, information availability for strategic decision-making, knowledge gaps, research and technology development related to efficient water use in industry/agriculture and private households, EU institutional roles for decision-making and the situation in neighbouring countries/areas.
