摘要 | EU raw material import flows – acknowledging non-EU environmental and social footprints STRADE Policy Brief 02/2017 STRADE is an EU-funded research project focusing on the development of dialogue-based, innovative policy recommendations for a European strategy on future raw materials supplies. In a series of policy briefs and reports, the project will offer critical analysis and recommendations on EU raw materials policy. This policy briefanalyses the European import flows of metals in various processing states and the connections withspecific environmental and socio-economic issues in resource-rich countries. It proposes the generation of ‘profiles of raw material import footprint’ which document the socio-economic and environmental footprint oftheEU’s material importsincluding opportunities for an increasing net-benefit of mining countries. |
