In light of new discussions on transit options for Toronto in February 2012, this report provides information and analysis to inform city councillors, policy makers and the public in determining a cost-effective transit plan that delivers the greatest benefits to Torontonians. It weighs the benefits and costs of four options currently under discussion, including light rail transit (LRT), bus rapid transit (BRT) and subway.
