To protect our climate and grow the clean economy, B.C. needs to reduce carbon pollution from homes and buildings.

In fact, the Pembina Institute estimates B.C. needs to retrofit three per cent of its building stock — that's 30,000 homes, 17,000 apartment units, and 3 million square metres of commercial space — every year until 2050.

This infographic compares the scale of the energy retrofits required to meet B.C.'s climate targets with those achieved under the LiveSmart BC program.
