| 摘要 | In the nineteenth century a “social Christianity” began to emerge as a response to the forces of urbanization and industrialization. Since that time, efforts have been made to continue exploring the relationship between Christian faith and social concern–in the Americas, from the seminal “social gospel” of Walter Rauschenbusch to the liberation theology of Gustavo Gutierrez; in the United Kingdom, from Frederick D.
