This policy brief advocates the landscape approach in areas where competing demands on land and natural resources in the Asia-Pacific region can be observed. The landscape approach enables development while protecting and enhancing ecosystems and their services. Definitions, a set of normative principles and recommendations, including building on existing initiatives and tailoring support to reflect local contexts, are provided to promote the landscape approach.

アジア太平洋において土地・自然資源を巡り様々な需要が競合している地域に対し、生態系とそのサービスの保護・強化と両立する開発を可能にする「ランドスケープアプローチ」を提唱しています。既にある取り組みから発展させる、支援を各地域の状況に応じたものにする等、同アプローチを推進していくための指針・提言を示しています。
