The Final Strategy Formulation Workshop for the Development of Waste Management Strategy and Action Plan of Phnom Penh was jointly organized on 9 January 2018 by Phnom Penh Capital Hall (PPCH), IGES-CCET, and Nexus for Development, marking an important milestone for the development of city’s waste management policy. The workshop was the last step of the strategy development process started in October 2016, which included a series of consultative meetings with the relevant stakeholders, and aimed at prioritizing actions, developing an implementation plan (schedule and role demarcation), and setting targets for each action.

This presentation reviewed the proposed actions under Action Area 4 of the draft strategy which focused on the management of special waste including medical waste, construction and demolition waste, and e-waste.
