14th Asia Pacific Eco-Business Forum in Kawasaki was organized on 1 February 2018 under the topic "Toward an Urban-Industrial Symbiosis - Actions from Kawasaki: Strengthening Cooperation among Cities in Asia to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) -". Ran Yagasa delivered a presentation during the Session 3 titled "Environmental Education and Learning to Achieve SDGs" and elaborated on (1) the IGES Centre Collaborating with UNEP on Environmental Technology (CCET) and its role in facilitating Waste Management Strategy development in Cambodia, Myanmar, Maldives; (2) importance of public participation and environmental education for addressing waste/resource challenges; and (3) how such considerations are being included in the waste management strategy currently being developed by Phnom Penh.
