Development and Adaptation Days at COP-11 3 and 4 December 2005, Montreal, Canada (a two -day Parallel Event held during COP-11) Development and Adaptation Days has become an anticipated part of each Conference of the Parties--an opportunity for the international climate change and development communities to share new approaches, explore common concerns and further adaptation efforts in developing countries. The International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) and the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), together with the Regional and International Networking Group (RING), are pleased to announce that this tradition will continue at COP-11 in Montreal, Canada on 3 and 4 December-- "Development and Adaptation Days at COP-11"--as part of the Parallel Event "Understanding and Preparing for Change." The workshop will: bring together practitioners, negotiators, scientists and policy-makers to explore key issues related to adaptation to climate change in developing countries; share latest developments and information on climate change and development linkages; and facilitate greater collaborative links between to the climate change and development communities.
