摘要 This study explores the effects of liberalization on natural gas industry. In the first scenario, it is assumed that gas sector is partly deregulated and limited number of marketers can enter into its market. The second scenario assumes that market is completely deregulated. This analysis adopts CGE(computable general equilibrium) framework that takes into account the interaction among different sectors through trade linkage. Liberalization in gas market is projected to have both direct and indirect impacts on the whole economy, including on energy and non-energy prices, consumption, and macro-economy indicators. As a results of enhanced productivity in gas industry following deregulation, total demand for goods and services expands relative to the reference case. This effect results from the resource allocation benefit of deregulation. The GDP at 2008 is 0.0004 percent and 0.0024percent higher than its reference case level with two different scenarios. Underlying the rise in GDP is an improvement in the competitiveness of commercial and industrial output resulting from higher productivity in the gas industries. In particular, lower gas price has a favorable impact on the cost structure Reflecting increased economic output rise and production efficiency, gas price fall by 4.34 percent and 4.71 percent respectively relative to the reference case at 2008 with two different scenarios. 106 pages. 29 refs., 9 figs., 35 tabs. , Language: Korean
