摘要 | May 12, 2015 India is the second-largest recipient of grant assistance from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, with a three-year allocation under its new funding mechanism of US$850 million. This reflects the magnitude of India’s contributions to the global burden of disease—India has the highest number of tuberculosis cases (2.6 million) and the third-highest number of HIV cases (2.1 million) in the world, as well as 77 percent of malaria cases in Southeast Asia (estimated at 24 million). |
