Aaron Best spoke at the EcoFest 2007 held in Ohrid on the shores of Lake Ohrid in the southwestern part of Macedonia. He discussed water policy and management in the USA and EU, sharing with the audience international experience on a topic of particular interest to the residents of Ohrid.

EcoFest is an annual festival devoted to raising awareness of the importance of preserving and protecting the environment. In recognition of World Environment Day on 5 June, the US Embassy in Macedonia teamed up with the Macedonian Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning in the realization of the EcoFest 2007.
