At the American Corner of the city library in Skopje, Macedonia, Aaron Best discussed recent developments in energy and climate policy in the United States, seeking to explain the resurgent interest in these issues on the part of the American people.

EcoFest is an annual festival devoted to raising awareness of the importance of preserving and protecting the environment. In recognition of World Environment Day on 5 June, the US Embassy in Macedonia teamed up with the Macedonian Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning in the realization of the EcoFest 2007. In addition to film screenings, the festival included panel discussions about important environmental issues. EcoFest 2007 was held in Ohrid on the shores of Lake Ohrid in the southwestern part of Macedonia.
