During a further vocational training for management assistants in the energy sector Ms. Hanna Schumacher gave an introduction to the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) with a focus on the amendment which will come into force in 2009.

The lecture introduced the participants to the basic principles of the EEG. Additionally Ms. Schumacher gave an overview over the amendment of the EEG. An important topic where the changes concerning wind energy, biomass and solar power. But geothermal power and hydro power where also covered. Another key topic was the integration of Renewable Energies into the power system and the energy markets.
