摘要 | The Green Climate Fund is set to play a key role in channeling climate funds to developing countries. The fund has recently gained momentum, and is set to begin operation later this year. The Green Climate Fund has sought to learn from the experiences of other climate funds, and there are promising features in its developing policies and frameworks. But despite stated intentions to benefit the world’s poor, there is a need for more tangible and practical attention to ensuring that the frameworks of the fund actually support this. This policy brief discusses some of the key risks in this respect, and provides recommendations on how they can be overcome. |
