| 摘要 | A recently released book on Disability and Disaster embraces the call from the disability community to write "nothing about us without us," while incorporating reflections from scholars studying why certain groups are more vulnerable to disasters than others. The volume thus presents a counter-narrative to the assumed vulnerability and weaknesses of individuals with disabilities. In one chapter DIIS Senior Researcher Ian Christoplos presents personal reflections on the extent to which development cooperation efforts are true to the principles of inclusiveness that they espouse. Questions are raised regarding whether the ways that disability in disasters is left to 'somebody else' may exemplify the dangers that the new catchword of resilience actually may lead to an even greater bias towards those who are most resilient already. |
