In the last years, environmental policy has focussed more towards products. This political development has been subsumed under the term “Integrated Product Policy” (IPP). An IPP could look back on only a short “history” of about ten years. In this context, diverging political interpretations, heterogeneous opinions of different stakeholders and very different political reception patterns have developed. Objective of this report is to reconstruct these aspects. We present an overview on the state of IPP in Austria, France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. These country reports are supplemented by a view on the European Unions’s IPP. Each country profile is structured according to a policy-cycle. The report closes with a comparative analytical summary of IPP in the considered countries.
