In preparation and in the context of the Rio+20 conference, the concept of a green economy has been developed as a guide for future economic development. It is a mission statement ultimately shared by many countries. This new model has been widely criticized, even earning the name “a wolf in sheep’s clothing”. Nevertheless, the approach is very relevant politically. It is primarily about identifying design opportunities towards a “green economy”, naming the obstacles to be overcome and formulating detailed research questions.
