| 摘要 | Implementing artificial intelligence, data science and smart robotics in areas such as medicine, energy, agriculture, software, cyber security and others often requires academia and industry collaboration. The issue of integrating artificial intelligence into software product development requires deep specialization and understanding of the field, where there are still precision and flexibility limitations of artificial intelligence. The need is two-way: Industry professionals need access to the most advanced scientific developments that bring solutions to real-world problems. Academic researchers need business knowledge, access to real-world scenarios, and data to design innovative solutions.
The purpose of this study is to examine the quality and nature of the links between academia and industry in the fields of artificial intelligence, data science and smart robotics in selected verticals, with the aim of helping the National R&D Council formulate recommendations for improving relations, transferring knowledge and cooperation between academia and industry in these fields.. The focus of the study is on companies that develop or use artificial intelligence, data science and smart robotics technologies in the leading fields of activity in a number of companies in Israel: Software Applications, Social Media and Advertising, Fintech and eCommerce, as well as companies using artificial intelligence and data science technologies in the digital health sector. |
