摘要 | New data from the Urban Institute and the AARP Public Policy Institute show that insurance coverage for 50- to 64-year-olds has improved significantly under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Between December 2013 and March 2015, the uninsured rate for 50- to- 64-year-olds dropped 47.4 percent. In March 2015, the uninsured rate for this age group was lowest in states that chose to expand their Medicaid programs. Though coverage gains were observed across all demographics studied, gaps remained for Hispanics, lower income adults, and those in fair or poor health.
