This brief summarizes findings from two reports focusing on preschool participation among low-income children and low-income children of immigrants in Silicon Valley. The first report is a demographic analysis of preschool enrollment for low-income children in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties and explores the relevant characteristics of these children and families. Among other important findings, it highlights the high proportion of low-income children in Silicon Valley who are children of immigrants.
