摘要 | One of the biggest challenges facing Medicare is educating beneficiaries about their insurance options. Data from a national survey indicate that most Medicare HMO and fee-for-service beneficiaries age 65 and up are aware of at least one source of information from the National Medicare Education Program (such as the Medicare & You handbook). Recent Medicare HMO enrollees are more likely than their fee-for-service counterparts to have searched for Medicare information. However, about 40 percent of them, and 67 percent of fee-for-service beneficiaries, still do not understand key aspects of Medicare. |
