摘要 | This study examined the availability and perceived effectiveness of 20 basic public health activities in U.S. communities with at least 100,000 residents. On average, two-thirds of the activities were available in the communities surveyed, and local public health officers rated the perceived effectiveness of these activities at 35 percent of the maximum possible score. In multivariate models, the availability of public health activities varied significantly with population size, socioeconomic status, local health department spending, and the presence of local boards of health. |
