| 摘要 | More than 227 million prescriptions for selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and other antidepressants are filled in the United States each year. The cost of care associated with these drugs and the value they provide are of concern to health care payers. Randomized studies comparing escitalopram with other SSRIs suggest clinically meaningful improvements in outcomes associated with the choice of escitalopram for the initial treatment of new episodes of depression. The objective of this study is to compare health care costs associated with initiating treatment on escitalopram or one of several generic SSRIs. |
