摘要This article examines the relationship between combination class membership in 1st grade and 1st-grade test scores, finding that 1st graders are not harmed by being in a combination class or by their schools offering combination classes. As long as other stakeholders—such as parents, teachers, and students in other grades—are not made worse off, these findings suggest that offering combination classes may be a viable cost-saving option for school administrators.
