概述 | The Farm to Fork Strategy, launched on 20 May 2020, aims to improve the sustainability of EU food and farming systems, thus also increasing their resilience to crises such as Covid-19. A key element of the strategy are quantified EU pesticide reduction targets: to reduce the overall use and risk of chemical pesticides by 50% and the use of more hazardous pesticides by 50% by 2030. Moreover, goals are set for at least 25% of EU agricultural land to be under organic farming management by 2030, that no chemical pesticides be used in sensitive areas such as EU urban green areas, and the decline of pollinators be reversed. |
