This Background Paper is a table which summarises initiatives undertaken to date to formally measure or interpret the
requirements of the Good Humanitarian Donorship (GHD) Principles and Good Practice measures. It looks at both collective indicators and individual donor indicators. The table also covers a wider range of ‘interpretations’ of good practice. While not strictly formal indicators, they encapsulate views of donors, intergovernmental organisations and research bodies on what constitutes good practice.
