摘要 | This report documents the experience of a project aiming to build a public-private partnership in Pokhara, Nepal. The project undertook a joint solar street lighting project, contributing to the security of tourists and locals in the context of daily power cuts of up to 18 hours. The Centre for Inclusive Growth played the role of a neutral broker between actors to facilitate collective action: the process mobilised around NPR 22 million of funding from local and national government and the private sector. The project experience has real value in building a model that can function and sustain itself without external funding, which can be replicated elsewhere to facilitate local leadership on economic development. |
