概述 | An assessment of the impact of solar household systems and the market and policy environment for the growth of the solar off-grid market in sub-Saharan Africa. |
摘要 | These reports, prepared jointly by ODI, Global Off-Grid Lighting Association (GOGLA), Practical Action and SolarAid, present evidence of the impact of solar household systems, reviews the market in the region and 13 selected countries in sub-Saharan Africa, and identifies the key policy measures to enable accelerated access to electricity through solar household solutions. The impacts paper summarises the evidence that is currently available on the impact of solar household systems on poverty reduction and the environment in Africa.
The markets paper describes how the household solar market in sub-Saharan Africa has grown to date, its current status and possible future trends. A simple spreadsheet model was developed for this paper, which is available on request.
The policy paper identifies the key policy measures that will assist with creating a supportive enabling environment for off-grid solar solutions.
The reports were prepared for the Department for International Development in support of preparations for the Energy Africa campaign, which aims to accelerate access to electricity in sub-Saharan Africa through solar household solutions. |
