These shifts – from climate change, to migration, to new technology and urbanisation – will have a significant impact on the management of water resources and related services such as sanitation. This impact will be both positive and negative, throwing up a variety of new opportunities and challenges, for people and economies. But how can we make the most of the opportunities and face the challenges? Here, we outline 10 things to know about the future of water and sanitation up to 2030, to do just that.
