摘要 | This study focuses on the use of foreign investment to accelerate strategies to mitigate climate change and develop clean energy in the rapidly industrializing countries of Asia. Much current debate about climate change and foreign investment has focused on the controversial topic of 'joint implementation' as a way for companies to invest in climate change mitigation. This study argues neither for nor against joint implementation in simple terms. Instead it seeks to identify projects and institutional requirements necessary to facilitate technology transfer from investing countries, to foster sustainable industrialization.
