The main goal of this project is to analyse global systemic risks caused by declining Earth system resilience to anthropogenic interference. A focus will be on the integrity of the ecosphere, biogeochemical cycles, and associated Earth system tipping points. A key part will be to assess whether there are options to maintain and protect the human habitat in a safe corridor between fulfilling humans needs and keeping ecosystems stable and how to govern those.
