In cooperation with the World Bank Institute (WBI), IISD developed a training module focused on the use of sustainability indicators in policy assessment. The methodology underlying the training module is developed on the basis of the World Bank's emerging Country Environment Analysis (CEA) approach and also draws on IISD's experience with UNEP's Global Environment Outlook (GEO). The module was field-tested in a training workshop in Moscow as part of a World Bank capacity building initiative.
