They discuss the lack of dialogue between the sustainability sector and those working on ICT and Internet policy. They note the fragmentation of the sustainable development movement, and reflect on the point made by Jim MacNeill in a previous interview with David Souter on how the net effect of all-pervasive use of ICTs has been to weaken the authority of governments and therefore their capacity to govern effectively, and the implications of this for governing for sustainability.
