An article on the options available to address ocean acidification. From reducing atmospheric CO₂ concentration to restoring degraded ecosystems, increasing the resilience of ecosystems and adapting human activities linked to the oceans, several types of action are possible; however, they vary in terms of their feasibility and their potential for results, and must be part of an appropriate legal and political framework at the local, regional and global levels.
