| 摘要 | Neal Lane, senior fellow in science and technology policy, testified before the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation on July 17, 2014. Lane is co-chair of the American Academy of Arts and Science's project on New Models for U.S. Science and Technology Policy, and his testimony emphasized the importance of science, engineering and technology to the nation’s leadership in the world, the strength of its economy, and the welfare and prosperity of its people. Education and research, Lane said, can play a critical role in restoring the American Dream through a renewed commitment to innovation and science.
