摘要  By Di Di, Elaine Howard Ecklund and Steven W. Lewis The authors rely on 40 in-depth interviews with male and female physicists at universities in China to determine why the country has so few women in physics — a discipline of science where there is extensive gender segregation. The study asserts a new scholarly discussion about women's underrepresentation in science within China and has implications for gender segregation in elite occupations more broadly. Findings also provide implications for public policies to reduce gender stratification in Chinese science.  Read “Women’s Under-Representation in Academic Physics in the People’s Republic of China,” published in volume 22, issue 4 of the Journal of Women and Minorities in Science and Engineering (2016).
